“O Lord, You crown the year with Your goodness, and even the hard paths overflow with abundance.”

Psalm 65:11

A New Path to Refreshing
I am about to do something NEW. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a PATH through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland so my people can be REFRESHED.” Isaiah 43:19-20

Are you are excited for a new year? Do you want to see God do something new? Remember, when God does a new thing, He makes a new path that leads to refreshing. Sometimes the path is hard (have you ever traveled on one that is soft?). Be encouraged! Even the hard paths overflow with abundance. Embrace the new thing that God wants to do in your life through Christ. Abandon the ways of the wilderness. Choose the path that leads to life.

Think growth, not comfort.
“Growth and comfort do not coexist.” -Ginny Rometty, former CEO of IBM

You can only grow if you are willing to move out of your comfort zone and try something new. Do not despise the Lord’s discipline. It may be painful, but pain has a purpose. Good pain makes you stronger. Bad pain makes you wiser.

Reasons for the Seasons
“There is a season for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

Seasons change! God has built change into the very fabric of this world. Seasons are about multiplication and growth. If you want to be truly revolutionary, you must see a thing through a full cycle. Don’t quit before the harvest!

Grow. Rest. Repeat!
“Anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works.” Hebrews 4:10

Growth requires hard work and rest. There are consequences if you lean to either extreme and neglect the other. It’s so important to strike a balance. The key is to understand and enter into God’s rest.

Living Water!
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19

People spend their lives hand to mouth and their soul is never satisfied. There is an answer! Jesus has come to give you life and more abundantly. Drink from the living water that Christ offers and live!
