White As Snow

Our town is beautiful in the winter. When I see views like this, Isaiah 1:18 comes to mind. “Come now, and let us reason together says the Lord , ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”” God actually wants us to use our reasoning with regard to our sin condition. I haven’t met a person yet that doesn’t have some sense of their own sin. We all agree with Romans 3:23 when it says, “For all have sinned.” I have. You have. And yet, God says our sin though scarlet shall be white as snow.

If you found a cleaner that worked like that, would you buy it? Well, guess what, you don’t have to… it’s free! You don’t have to work for it, go to church for it, or pay for it, and it actually does what it promises. So let’s review. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves, but if we confess and acknowledge our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and make us white as snow. Yep, that pretty much sums it up, and is a pretty good reason to accept the offer. You can read the verses for yourself in 1 John 1:8-‬10 and Romans 6:23.
