After acknowledging that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God (see last week’s message), you must begin to build your life on the Rock. Every aspect of your life can be built on Christ. Your faith, your relationships, your marriage, your work… everything! There are several basics that are essential to your faith and your relationship with God that will help you do this.
There are many who are building what they think is a great house. Their life might be the envy of all, but if it’s not built on the Rock, it will fall, and its fall will be great. You see, if you get it right, your life will be built on a solid foundation, a bedrock, immovable. If you get it wrong, your house will fall when the storms come.
You can be ready for the storms. In fact, there is a surefire way to ensure you will endure life’s storms. Jesus tells you how in Matthew 7:24.
“If you hear my words and put them into practice you are wise, like one who builds their house on the rock.”
Do you want to build your house on the Rock? There are two simple things you must do. Hear the words of Jesus and then do what Jesus says! It’s that simple.
